Adobe Express

I liked Adobe Express because it has a super simple interface. It is similar to Canva, just under the Adobe umbrella. I created a collage, some podcast graphics, and some posters for my old cheer team. It’s very easy to create whatever you need, and there is access to many different types of media you can search through to get what you need. There are also many templates that you can use and edit to fit what you are looking for. You are also able to make webpages and videos where you can use royalty-free music and stock photos if needed. I will continue to use this program because of the ease of use and the access to templates, plus its similarity to Canva, yet having more stock photos that can be accessed for free.

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is user-friendly to me because each tool has an example video and tells you what its use is when you hover over it. I have previously used Photoshop for my photography course, so I already had some background knowledge on how to use it and edit photos. We tested the AI feature, which is something I had never used before, but it was pretty simple. I would recommend that it’s better for people who are editing photographs. Although trying to create things with photos as a background is a little difficult. I will continue to use photoshop to edit the photos I take throughout the year.

Adobe Illustrator

For me was the hardest program to use because of the use of vectors. I had never used this previously, and the hardest part to learn was how to use points and anchors to make shapes so that the icon looked well. After a bit of practice, it got easier to use, and I was able to create simpler icons. I like the more simplified look compared to the higher detail icons. So this program was an interesting thing to learn, and it challenged my thinking and understanding of how to use vectors. I definitely would use it again to create logos for things now that I have some practice with Illustrator.

Adobe InDesign

InDesign became easier to use after using Illustrator. The interface was confusing when looking at it, trying to figure out what to use and how to use it. It also used vectors, which allowed me to create a resume using designs that I have learned how to create. I liked this software because I was able to take an already created document and create designs to elevate whatever the document is for. I would use it again but I am not sure what I would use it for.

Here is my resume as mentioned above!

Word Press

I like how organized WordPress is, but it is hard to use at first. I struggled with how to actually create the website through the theme and how to use the block inserter for each page. I would use this in the future if I needed to develop a website. Another thing that I didn’t like is how to edit the pages through the design page; some of the aspects are hard to find and edit. Definitely, with more use and practice, I can improve this website or any other that I create later on. This journal is an upload example of using WordPress.
